Blaze® LG Now Links to Verdict Systems' Sanction II
Integration gives Blaze LG users powerful
data transfer and integration capabilities
with popular trial presentation program.
New
York, New York - February 4, 2002 - Summation Legal Technologies,
Inc. is happy to announce that Summation Blaze LG software now
links to the recently released Sanction II, a popular trial presentation
program by Verdict Systems, Inc. Summation's scripting component
(available in all Summation Blaze LG products - Blaze LG, LG Gold,
and iBlaze®) makes it possible for third party products to
integrate with Summation Blaze LG software.
"Summation's
support of scripting in Blaze LG software greatly enhances the
capabilities of Third Party developers willing to make the effort.
Our development team has spent a great deal of time ensuring a
transparent and seamless integration between our two products,
and we are delighted with the result," says Verdict Systems
Director of Development Andrew "Carp" Carpenter.
"A
Summation user can now drive trial presentation through Sanction,
from within Summation, using familiar Summation controls,"
said Jon Sigerman, an AV rated litigator and President of Summation
Legal Technologies, Inc. "An example, which is quite spectacular
to see, is the on-the-fly creation and presentation of a video
deposition segment. A desired segment is highlighted in Summation's
transcript window (e.g. the segment could have been uncovered
via Summation's integrated search/zoom), followed by a Summation
right mouse click to launch the synchronized video clip in Sanction's
presentation mode on the trier of fact's monitor. The Summation/Sanction
scripting link provides other synergies for quickly and effortlessly
finding, bundling, and presenting the documents and testimony
that make or break a case."
Users
of Summation Blaze LG and Sanction II will appreciate the following
cross-functionality:
- Add
and display documents in Sanction II directly from Blaze LG
Users can send all or portions of image information from Blaze
LG to Sanction by selecting the appropriate option from the
right-click menu.
- Display
items directly in Sanction II's presentation mode from Blaze
LG
With common image information located in both the Blaze LG and
Sanction II databases, Blaze LG can be used as a search and
retrieval platform for Sanction II's presentation mode. Simply
right-click on the document you wish to display, select "Display
in Sanction II Presentation Mode" and the image launches
into the Sanction II presentation screen. This functionality
can also be used in a dual monitor environment where Blaze LG
is running on the control monitor and Sanction II's presentation
mode is running on the display monitor or projector.
- Add
existing Blaze LG transcripts to Sanction II individually or
in batch
Copying a transcript from Blaze LG to Sanction II allows users
to synchronize the court reporters transcript to a digital video
file using Sanction's video-to-text synchronization capabilities.
You can likewise export transcripts from Sanction II into Blaze
LG. Synchronized text is displayed directly in the Blaze LG
transcript window.
- Create
media clips directly from Blaze LG using Sanction II's new Video
Viewer
When Blaze LG and Sanction II have a common transcript loaded
in both programs and the transcript is synchronized to a video
deposition in Sanction II, you can make clips that display in
Sanction II from Blaze LG.
- Import
Blaze LG summary fields directly into Sanction II coding fields
As
of February 4, 2002, users of Summation Blaze LG products will
also have three ways to extend their capabilities with brand new
Sanction II ActiveX products: SII Image Viewer, SII Media Viewer,
and the full version of Sanction II. With the SII Image Viewer
and SII Media Viewers, images and digital video can be loaded,
viewed, manipulated, marked-up and saved back directly to Sanction
II case databases, stored on a network for use later in preparation
for possible presentation at trial.
