May
16, 2002 - LawNet, Inc., an independent, volunteer network
of technology users in the legal industry, announced today the
formation of a Summation Special Interest Group ("SIG").
As a LawNet SIG, Summation will present a variety of educational
programs on litigation technology, and provide a forum for user
feedback from LawNet members.
"LawNet's
SIGs are very important to our members, as they provide us a focus
for educational content and a forum for open discussion with key
vendors,"said Randi Mayes, LawNet's Executive Director. "By
approving the formation of a Summation SIG, our members and Board
of Directors have indicated their desire to work closely with
the company to forge a relationship that will foster education,
product support and development, and open communication between
Summation and the firms who depend on the product for practice
support."
"We're
very excited to join the LawNet family as a SIG," said Jon
Sigerman, President of Summation Legal Technologies. "LawNet
members represent the most celebrated law firms and corporations
in America. Being selected as a SIG is testimony to Summation's
importance in the litigation support arena. We look forward to
serving LawNet members."
