Summation Offers New Online
Knowledge Base to Maintenance Customers!
Summation
Legal Technologies, Inc. enhances technical support through Knowledge
Base and other initiatives.
San
Francisco, CA - November 7, 2002 - Summation customers can
now quickly find answers to their technical questions online,
through Summation's new Knowledge Base. Launched in October, the
Knowledge Base is a searchable, full text index of all technical
support documents, including Tech Notes, Tutorials, Installation
Instructions, and Best Practices. Customers can search these documents
by key words, Summation products, program area, type of support
document, or all of the above combined.
For
example, a Summation customer experiencing issues working on a
Novell network can simply type in the key word search term "Novell"
and check the box entitled "Tech Notes". All responsive
Tech Notes will appear in the search results. Each Tech Note indicates
the relevant Product Version(s) and Platforms (e.g. Windows 2000)
to which it applies, plus the date the Tech Note was created and
last updated, so customers can confirm they are getting up-to-date
solutions that apply to their situation.
"Most
of our customers are comfortable using the Web to find answers
to everyday questions," said Paul Thompson, Summation's Vice
President of Sales and Marketing, who spearheaded Summation's
recent technical support expansion. "Now we're giving them
even better technical support resources and options with the addition
of the online Knowledge Base. Customers can go to summation.com
and log into the technical support Knowledge Base to find answers
to their questions or, as always, talk with a live Technical Support
Representative over the phone."
The
Knowledge Base is available exclusively to Summation customers
on technical support maintenance plans. To receive a username
and password, register at http://support.summation.com/knowbase/register.htm.
Summation customers interested in obtaining a maintenance plan
may contact their account representative at 800-735-7866 or 415-442-0404.
In
addition to implementing the Knowledge Base, Summation recently
expanded its technical support department by hiring new Technical
Support Representatives to bolster one-on-one telephone, e-mail,
and online conferencing technical support.
