San Francisco, CA - August 27, 2002 - The American Lawyer magazine released this week The Seventh Annual AmLaw Tech Survey 2002. The 2002 survey polled technology use in the 200 top-grossing U.S. law firms. Once again, Summation is named the number one litigation support software for the 4th consecutive year. Results show that 73% of the respondents use Summation software for handling litigation, more than any other litigation software product.

"We're very excited to be recognized as the litigation support program of choice in the 2002 AmLaw Tech Survey," said Jon Sigerman, President of Summation Legal Technologies, Inc. "Since Summation was first released in 1988, we've endeavored to develop a program that brings together into one place the vast amounts of disparate evidentiary information permeating a case. Our program had to be powerful enough for fast global searching and effective organization of the information, yet simple enough for attorneys to use hands-on for case preparation and time-critical retrieval in the trenches. The survey results illustrate that we've been successful."

Of the 129 firms that responded to the survey question "What software does the firm use to handle litigation?" 94 firms - or 73% of respondents - named Summation. That's a 6% increase over Summation's win in last year's survey.
The Seventh Annual AmLaw Tech Survey 2002 is the lead story in the September 2002 issue of AmLaw Tech, which is published as a supplement to The American Lawyer.
