iBlaze Receives Product of the Year
Summation Garners Litigation Support Software Award
San Francisco, CA - February 1, 2005 - Winners of the second annual Law Technology News Awards were announced last evening at a special awards dinner at LegalTech® New York, at the New York Hilton hotel. Products from Summation Legal Technologies, Inc., a CT Corporation company, were recipients of awards in two categories: Litigation Support Software (Summation®) and Product of the Year (Summation iBlaze®).
"It's a great honor for Summation to be recognized by the readers of Law Technology News in these two categories," said Jon Sigerman, President of Summation Legal Technologies, Inc. "These are the people who are using and administrating the software day in and day out, and this vote of confidence is very rewarding. Having Summation iBlaze selected as Product of the Year is especially gratifying. It's a ringing endorsement of the enhancements we've been building into the program, especially the new tools for working with e-discovery."
"The application of technology has become central to virtually every aspect of the successful practice of law and management of law firms. Our second annual awards program recognizes individuals, law firms, companies and products that set the standard for the industry in this important area," said Kevin Vermeulen, publisher of Law Technology News. "We congratulate the award winners on this significant achievement."
In 2004, the editors of Law Technology News asked the publication's 40,000+ subscribers to select products and vendors that represented outstanding achievement in legal technology in 13 award categories. Online ballots were solicited from LTN's subscriber audience of law firm partners and managing partners, legal administrators, MIS/IT directors and specialists, corporate counsel, litigation support specialists, librarians and other legal professionals. Only subscribers' ballots were accepted. Winners were determined based on the most-mentioned product/company in each category.
