CaseVault, Inc. (www.casevault.com) is seeking to fill 2 newly created sales positions within their start up sales team located in New York. CaseVault is a web-based hosting repository and a fully owned subsidiary company of Summation Legal Technologies - America's leading litigation support product. With over 50,000 users across the world, Summation has played a crucial role in defining the use of technology within the litigation practice. In November 2004, Summation and CaseVault were acquired by Wolters Kluwer (www.wolterskluwer.com) who is now looking to invest capital in CaseVault with a view to growing it into becoming America’s leading litigation support hosting solution.

The applicant will ideally possess legal qualifications/experience and have a minimum of 2-3 years working within the litigation support industry. A good understanding of the process involved in managing large litigation/eDiscovery would be highly desirable, as would a good understanding of litigation support tools. Experience/working knowledge of Summation would be highly desirable. Any experience working for a coding/scanning/eDiscovery vendor would also be well regarded.

The suitable applicant will have previous sales experience and be able to demonstrate a history of meeting and exceeding quotas. Their sales experience will show a dedication to setting and achieving goals, working independently while contributing to a team and developing excellent and long standing client relationships. Ongoing account management is a key part of this position and a proven ability to nurture and grow relationships would be highly regarded.

The successful applicant must be committed to learning the Summation product line and to stay abreast of updates and developments - not just within the product line but also with trends and developments within the litigation support industry. The initial target client base will be to a defined list of qualified contacts within the legal market. The sales targets are Paralegals, Attorneys, Litigation Support Managers, IT Managers, Partners, and to a lesser extent, General Counsel within corporations. Accordingly, applicants must be comfortable presenting to a high level executive audience.

Most of the sales targets will already be existing users of one of our products so the sale is more of an onsell to an existing client. Accordingly, the sale is substantially relationship driven, and the ability to nurture an ongoing relationship with a client is key. The account executive is principally responsible for the entire sale—from opening the door to closing the deal. He/she will have the assistance of project managers who may have a more detailed technical knowledge of certain aspects of the sale. Depending on the executive's background and knowledge, this support may or not be required. The successful applicant will also have the ongoing assistance and mentoring of the Director of Sales, who has over 10 years experience in the litigation field and has a vested interest in the applicant meeting and exceeding sales goals. The Director will train the executive in the product and the general market and can also assist with introductions to contacts, assistance with large presentations, pricing and contract finalization.
