FOUNDERS
David
A. Rotman, Treasurer
Founder and member of Board of Directors
At
the time that he founded Summation, Rotman was a partner with
Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro, then San Francisco's largest law
firm (now operating under the name Pillsbury Winthrop).
He
left the partnership in 1990, joining the mediation firm of Gregorio,
Haldeman & Piazza, concentrating on multi-party construction
disputes, personal injury, product liability and employment matters.
He has become a prominent mediator. In this position, he provides
Summation with valuable insight in connection with presentations
to a fact finder.
Rotman
is a graduate of Cornell University, where he served as a visiting
professor of law in 1989, and the University of Chicago Law School
where he served on the law review. He also has served as a special
master in civil disputes.
He
served as vice chairman of the American Bar Association's database
management committee form 1984-86 and was a member of its Legal
Technical Advisory Council in 1987. He took a sabbatical from
his professional duties was a visiting professor of evidence at
Cornell University.

co-counsel for other law firms and agencies (e.g., Pillsbury,
Madison & Sutro; Morrison & Foerster; Littler, Mendelsohn,
Fastiff & Tichy; Graham & James; City Attorney, San Francisco;
Munger, Tolles & Olson, EEOC)-- structured and developed statistical
analysis evidence in more than 100 employment discrimination and
securities fraud class actions. Testified in federal trials and
administrative proceedings as an expert witness on employment
discrimination evidence.
